Tigers Beat Indians 8-5 With Inge's Help

Armando Gallaraga improved to 9-4 on the season and the Tigers brought themselves a single game closer to catching the division leading White Sox on the strength of an 8-5 victory over the Cleveland Indians Tuesday.

Zumaya was making his first appearance since suffering tightness in his right bicep last week. Brandon Inge knocked in 3 RBI’s including a 2-run-homerun in the 8th to give the Tigers an 8-3 lead.

Up next the Tigers and Indians play game 3 of their series tonight. Nate Robertson is on the hill for the Tigers in a pivotal game against the 14-2 Cliff Lee of the Indians. Coverage for the game begins at 6:45 on 590 KZO.
