In Arizona Rich Harden battled Randy Johnson all night before allowing a solo homerun in the 6th by Alex Romero. The run was all the Diamondbacks needed to secure the 2-0 victory.
The loss drops the Cubs to 58-41 ruining a dominating performance from Rich Harden en, which he allowed only 1 run on 1 hit in 7 innings with 10 strikeouts. Up next the Cubs and Diamondbacks play game 2 tonight with first pitch set for 9:40.
