The Cubs struggled to put away the San Francisco Giants in the finale of their 4-game-series Thursday. The Giants came out strong scoring 4 runs on 4 hits in 5 innings against Cubs starter Sean Gallagher before finishing up with an 8-3 victory.
The Cubs still hold a 2-and-a-half game lead on the Cardinals in the National League Central Division. The Cubs will look to extend that lead tonight when the Cubs are in St. Louis for an 8:15 first pitch.
