Cubs Drop Marlins 9-4

In the National League the Cubs pulled even in their 4-game-series with the Florida Marlins Sunday. The NL Central division leading Cubs powered past the Marlins 9-4 with the help of homeruns from Alfonso Soriano and Derrek Lee.

It was Mark Fontenot’s 3-run double in the 7th that gave the Cubs the winning runs. The Cubs next head to Milwaukee tonight for a pivotal series with the Brewers. First pitch is set for 8:05.
