Tigers Walk Off 3-2 With Walk

Gary Sheffield hit a game tying homerun in the bottom of the 9th before Clete Thomas walked to send the winning run home in the bottom of the 10th for the Tigers Thursday afternoon.

Sheffield's homerun came a single day after he powered the Tigers past the Cardinals in game 2 of their series at Comerica Park with a line drive single up the middle.

The Tigers improve to only 2 games below .500 on the season, good for 5 games back of the American League Central Division leading Chicago White Sox.
