Ethan Hollingsworth Drafted In 4th Round

By Dan Cash

WMU Right-Hander Ethan Hollingsworth was drafted in the 4th round of the Major League Baseball first year player draft by the Colorado Rockies Thursday.

The 137th overall pick Hollingsworth is the highest drafted Bronco since Brian Sikorski was taken as the 109th overall pick in 1995.

The past 2 seasons Hollingsworth has anchored the Broncos top rotation slot earning a 3.84 ERA in 2008, good for 4th in the Mid-American Conference.

He finishes his Bronco career 18-12.

WMU Head Coach Randy Ford has had at least 1 player selected in every draft since taking over the reigns of WMU Baseball from Fred Decker 4-seasons ago.
