Cubs On Top Of MLB For First Time Since 1908

By Dan Cash

Today is June 2nd and the Chicago Cubs are on top of Major League Baseball. The last time that happened so late in a season was 1908.

100 years ago also happens to be the last time the Cubs won a World Series. At Wrigley Alfonso Soriano homered to power the Cubs to a 5-3 win over the Colorado Rockies Sunday.

The win is the Cubs 7th in a row. Tonight the Cubs are in San Diego at 10:05.
