It took the Kalamazoo Kings six innings to get on the scoreboard in their home opener Saturday, but in the end it was better late than never as the Kings treated the home crowd at Homer Stryker Field to a 4-2 win over the Midwest Sliders.
DH Brendan Murphy batted in three of the Kings four hits. The win improves Kalamazoo to 3-and-1 on the young season with the series wrapping up this afternoon.
The Kings broadcast begins this afternoon at 3:45. Listen to the game right here on ESPN1660.BLOGSPOT.COM.
