Tigers Blank White Sox


A day after getting rained out at Comerica, the Tigers took on the White Sox to close out their now-two-game series. A moment of silence before the game for Tiger great Mark “The Bird” Fidrych who died in an accident Monday, and a field full of number 42’s for Jackie Robinson day. Polanco had three RBIs on the day – that opened up the Tiger bats.
He threw 6 and a third scoreless innings as the Tigers roll 9-zip, they split the series and are back over .500. They get a day off today then begin an eight-game swing out west, late game tomorrow, Tigers visit the Mariners, 9:50 start on 590 KZO.
