The Western Michigan Broncos ran wild in the 2nd half after turning the ball over early and often against the Northern Illinois Huskies Saturday evening.
An announced crowd of 26,262 for CommUniversity night at Waldo Stadium witnessed a Bronco team that may have gelled perfectly late in the game.
In the 3rd quarter the Huskies took a 19-14 lead before the Broncos outscored them 15-7 to secure the win after Jamarko Simmons fielded an on-side kick with under 40 seconds to play.
Brandon West led the Broncos on the ground with 175 yards on 25 carries while Jamarko Simmons was back in form grabbing 8 passes for 102 yards.
Up next the Broncos head to Idaho next Saturday.
