Tigers Fall 5-1 To White Sox

Justin Verlander fell to 8-12 on the season giving up 5 runs on 6 hits in 7 2/3 innings as the Tigers fell 5-1 to the Chicago White Sox Wednesday.

The Tigers never recovered from Thome’s blast scoring only on an RBI single from Gary Sheffield in the 7th before Alexei Ramirez added the final 2 runs for the White Sox in the bottom of the 8th. John Danks got the win for the White Sox who improved to 63-49 on the season. Up next the Tigers and Sox finish their series with coverage beginning at 7:50 on 590 KZO.
