Johnson Stars In Lions Pre-Season Win

It wasn’t exactly the best win but the Detroit Lions got it done 13-10 in pre-season game number one against the New York Giants Thursday.

Calvin Johnson caught 4 passes for 78 yards from Lions quarterback Jon Kitna while Roy Williams hauled in the Lions only touchdown of the night while David Carr threw the Giants only TD.

In the battle for Lions backup Dan Orlovsky went 8-of-11 and Drew Stanton threw for 27 yards going 5-for-6 on the evening.

Next Sunday the Lions are in Cincinnati for pre-season game number 2 with kickoff set for 7:35.
