I've been live on a few radio shows this afternoon and every single show has asked me one common question: What is there to do in Nebraska? Well I said the obvious about the city being nice but a mere 2 miles away is endless farms of corn and nothing.
I decided it might be better to take a drive and show you a quick soundless clip of what exactly lies directly east, west, north and south of Lincoln, Nebraska:
Currently I am 1 mile from Memorial Stadium where the Broncos will be working in closed sessions over the next day and a half. Former Channel 3 Sports Director and Anchor John Koch and myself will be live on my show from 6-7ET tonight on ESPN 1660 and ESPN1660.COM.
I will also be live blogging right here on ESPN1660.BLOGSPOT.COM from 6:30PM Saturday through the end of the game from the press box. So if you can't hear the game on 92.7 The Van in Holland or don't want to pay-per-view it...join in on the live conversation Saturday beginning at 6:30.
John and I are also planning on a live video function of the show tonight at 6. I'll post the live ESPN 1660 video link right here on the blog if you would like to watch and listen!

There may be nothing but cornfields surrounding the city, but O street and campus tomorrow is going to more than make up for it.
I'm an 06 grad of UNL and it's fun to hear (or in this case, read) about people's experience in Lincoln, especially if it has to to do with their first Huskers game. It reminds me of all the fun I had on Saturdays there and wish I was close enough that I could get back and enjoy it some more.
Enjoy your stay, and hope you enjoy the game!
And 40 miles down I-80 you'll find Omaha, which is bigger and is more interesting than Lincoln — sorry Lincolnites — except on game days!
Go Huskers!!
