Last season the Western Michigan Broncos were picked to win the MAC West before finishing 5-7. The Broncos will enter 2008 as somewhat of an underdog picked to finish 3rd in the MAC West behind Central Michigan Ball State. Broncos Wide Receiver Jamarko Simmons says the Broncos will win the MAC Title.
Simmons also spoke about beating Central and preparing for the pros…for the full interview head to ESPN1660.COM. Head Coach Bill Cubit was also on hand at Ford Field in Detroit. He says this year’s team has more leadership than the past.
The Broncos open their 2008 season in Nebraska against Bo Pelini’s Cornhuskers. Bronco Defensive End Zach Davidson says it’s going to be an honor just to play there.
While the Chippewa’s were picked to win the MAC Overall title…the Broncos picked up a single vote for first place. WMU’s Home Opener is set for September 6th against Northern Illinois.
