It was billed as a pivotal series for the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers but is going to end in a blowout. With a single game remaining this afternoon at 2:05 the Cubs have outscored the Brewers 20-7 in the first 3 games of their series.
Wednesday the Cubs powered it up again beating the Brewers 7-2 in front of a packed house at Miller Park. Ryan Dempster allowed only 1 run on 5 hits in 7 innings to grab his 12th game of the season.
While Alfonso Soriano, Ryan Theriot and R3ed Johnson all collected 3 hits for the Cubs. The Cubs now lead the National League Central Division by 4 games over the Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals.
