Verlander Fires 4-Hit Gem

The AL Central division leading Chicago White Sox were no match for the suddenly sound Detroit Tigers pitching staff Wednesday. Justin Verlander pitched a complete game masterpiece firing 9 innings of 4-hit ball allowing only a single run in the win.

Marcus Thames homerun in the 2nd was all the Tigers needed offensively. The Tigers send 4-4 Kenny Rogers to the hill this afternoon while the White Sox counter with 3-6 Mark Buehrle at 12:45 on 590 KZO.
