Magglio Ordonez and Pudge Rodriguez homered and Justin Verlander struck out 10 allowing 2 runs on 5 hits to grab his 4th win of the season 5-3 over San Diego Sunday. In the 5th it was Magglio Ordonez giving the Tigers a 3-1 lead.
The win brings the Tigers to within 3 games of .500 and 5 games of the White Sox for the lead in the American League Central. The Tigers take tonight off before the St. Louis Cardinals come to town Tuesday with coverage beginning at 6:45 on 590 KZO.
