Nate Robertson followed an atrocious 1 and a third inning from Dontrelle Willis Sunday with a key performance that could lead the Tigers back into the divisional race at just the right time.
Robertson fired 6 and-a-third innings allowing only 3 runs on 8 hits to propel the Tigers to a 6-4 win over the White Sox Tuesday.
Placido Polanco and Miguel Cabrera went 3-4 in the win bringing Polanco to a .297 batting average while Cabrera continues to improve at .278. Up next the Tigers and White Sox play game 2 tonight with coverage beginning at 6:45 on 590 KZO.
