Red Wings Win Their 11th Stanley Cup

By Dan Cash

A furious final 1:37 made it just about as difficult as it could be, but the Red Wings perservered to win their 4th Cup in 11-Years Wednesday.

A 3-1 lead with under 2-minutes to play seemed to seal the Stanley Cup before the Wings took a 2-minute minor for hooking on Jiri Hudler.

Daryl Sydor made it 3-2 on the subsequent power play to bring the Penguins within 1 before Marian Hossa tipped a puck just wide with less than a second to play to secure the Wings Stanley Cup Championship.

The NHL named Henrik Zetterberg the Conn Smythe Trophy winner as MVP of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
