Red Wings Parade Starts At 11 At Hockeytown

By Dan Cash

The 2008 Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings parade is set to begin at Hockeytown Café on Woodward and ends with a celebration rally at Hart Plaza. Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick will officially address the team in Hart Plaza.

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that Wings owner Mike Illitch invited Kilpatrick saying: “I can’t think of a reason why the Mayor shouldn’t be there. He’s the Mayor of the city.

He’s got to be there. He’s welcome to come, and he’s welcome to have some pizza.”
