United States Soccer named Portage’s Lindsay Tarpley to the 18-member Beijing Olympic team Monday. Tarpley scored a pivotal goal in the 2004 Olympics helping team USA beat Brazil to grab the Gold Medal.
Women’s Soccer legend Brianna Scurry was left off the roster in favor of Hope Solo. Solo was taken out of the last World Cup in favor of Scurry…contributing to TEAM USA’s loss to Brazil in the World Cup.
