You may have thought the Detroit Pistons traded a potential star in D.J. White when they shipped him off to the Seattle Supersonics for 2 second round picks.
Only time will tell on that one…but instead the Pistons selected Alabama Birmingham’s Walter Sharpe with the 32nd pick in the draft.
He was selected even after only playing 18 college games in 3 years at 2 schools, being arrested on suspicion of a possible shooting and a newly diagnosed form of narcolepsy.
