The Hockey Hall of Fame announced Tuesday night that former Red Wing Igor Larionov has been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Larionov led the Soviet Union to 4 World Championships and 2 Olympic Gold Medals.
Larionov’s biggest moment as a Red Wing came in game 3 of the 2002 Stanley Cup Finals when he fired home a triple-overtime winner against the Carolina Hurricanes.
The goal powered the Wings to a 4-1 series win.
