In 52-years the Gary fund at Western Michigan University never raised as much as it has in 2008. The fund received over 1-Million-Dollars.
The fund officially raised 1,002,749 besting it's goal of 950,000 totaling more than 1-Million for the first time in the history of the fund which benefits WMU student athletes.
The fund was established in 1956 by a group of Kalamazoo businessman and is named for former Athletic Director and Football coach Mitchell Gary.
